Abstract
PURPOSE: To keep the electrical characteristics of a split type zero-phase current transformer in the good condition after assembling by a method wherein the split surface of th core which is prepared to make up a circular one body structure by assembling is made up by buffing cooling with water and suppressing the thermal expansion and contraction.
CONSTITUTION: The outside circumference of a circular core 2' which is made of a high permeable magnetic material is insulated, and is wound with a conductor 6 to form the semi-circular-arc leaving the confronting portion of the core 2' without winding for cutting and its outside surface is insulated. The core 2' is placed between a pair of circular shield cases 3' which are made of same high permeable magnetic material, and put in a circular core seat 4a prepared in a mold case 4'. Then the gap between the case 4' and the no-conductor portion is filled up with a silicone resin and the like, and the inside of the case 4' is filled up with an epoxy resin. Then a cover 8 is placed over the core 2', cut at the no-conductor portions to form the two split type cores 1, and the surface 1a is made up by buffing cooling the surface with water.
