Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent effectively the deterioration and damage of a pickup tube by constituting a TV camera so that when power is OFF with an iris mechanism open, the iris mechabism will be stopped down to its end. CONSTITUTION:Through power switch 23, TV camera unit 20 is applied with a direct-current voltage, and lens unit 21 with the direct-current voltage by way of switch 23 and relay switch 24, thereby controlling an iris mechanism by a signal from iris control circuit 7. To the output side of this switch 23, diode 25, capacitor 26, resistance 27, and diode 28 are connected in series and when switch 23 is ON, capacitor 26 is charged by a provided charging circuit. When the charging circuit charges it for a fixed time with switch 23 OFF, switch 24 is driven by transistor Tr30 and relay 37 to apply a voltage across unit 21 by Trs35 and 39 and batteries 31 and 32, thereby stopping automatically down the iris mechanism to its end.
