Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the uniform spreading of desulfurizing agent particles over the fluidized bed and make good contact with SOx by feeding desulfurizing agent particles uniformly over the fluidized bed together with the combustion air thru a porous plate suporting the fluidized bed.
CONSTITUTION: Air for combustion containing desulfurizing agent particles 8 is spread uniformly and fed over the fluidized bed 18 via wind box 17 which is located beneath the main boiler body 1 and thru a number of small porosities on the porous plate 16 supporting the fluidized bed 18 where-thru the heat transmitting pipe 2 is penetrating. On the other hand, coal 12 being stored at the hopper 11 is conveyed by air, blown into the fluidized bed 18 where bubbles 5 are formed by the coal conveying air, and great majority of it is burnt completely at the free board 19. A small amount of unburnt cabon and desulfurizing agent passing thru the free board 19 are collected at the dust collector located in the later stage of combustion process and are returned to the fluidized bed 18. Accordingly, the desulfurizing agent being spread over the fluidized bed 18 makes good contact with sulfur dioxide improving rate of reaction for desulfurizing agent and gas desulfurizing rate.
