Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a texture defect from being overlooked by flashing a light source in synchronism with the stitches of texture or with the moving speed of warps.
CONSTITUTION: An oscillator 7 and a parallel inverter 8 are connected with a light source 5 for illuminating the texture 1 to be observed with naked eyes 6. By the driving force of the feed roller 3 of a cloth detector 2, the texture 1 to be tested is carried in the direction of arrow along a milky plate 4, and the light source 5 is flashed in synchronism with the running speed of the texture 1 when the illumination is to be made by the light source 5. As a result, the run or stitches of the texture 1 is observed, as if it is apparently stationary, similarly to the principles of a strobo, and the observation with the naked eyes 6 can be made so simple that the fatieque of the eyes 6 can be remarkably reduced. Thus, the flaws and soil of the texture 1 can be tested reliably without fail.
