Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize operation under no influence of a high-frequency noise by operating the whole speed control circuit so that an error signal will be zero.
CONSTITUTION: The moment desired speed signal (a) is supplied to adder 201, error signal (d) appears at the terminal of adder 201. This error signal (d) changes into current signal (f) through differentiating circuit 202, etc., to move voice coil 5 in head positioning mechanism 204. In accordance with this, carriage 4 starts moving and the movement of carriage 4 is applied to adder 201 as carriage speed signal (b). A current flowing through voice coil 5 is applied to adder 201 as integal output C through current detector 206, etc. Carriage speed signal (b) and integral output (c) are reverse in polarity to desired speed signal (a). Therefore, adder 201 operates the whole circuit eliminating error signal (d), so that the operation can be stabilized under no influence of a high-frequency noise.
