Abstract

PURPOSE: Raw sewage is treated by high temperature fermentation without conventional anaerobic and dilution treatment, thereby effecting preservation of fertilizer component, BOD reduction, and prevention of odor generation.
CONSTITUTION: Raw sewage, or oxygen-treated sewage is treated by liquid-solid separation, then subject to fermentation under an aerobic condition of about 25W 50Nm3/B.O.Dkg/day and at a high temperature from about 50 to 80°C. The system used for this treatment consists of continuously combined processes of raw sewage charging bath, liquid-solid separator, and aerobic high temperature fermentation bath.
