Abstract

CONSTITUTION: When a switch 5 of a ribbon end detecting mechanism 6 is operated by means of an eyelet 4' of a ribbon 4, signals with (-) polarity are put out from a comparison circuit 14, and the signals are written to a core memory chip 16 through a drive circuit 15. When (-) polarity is put out from a reading amplifier 17 through a gate 17' by reading timing, a clutch 2 for transmission is driven because logic vlue "0" is recognized from a control output circuit 20, a spool 1 at the left side is rotated and the ribbon is wound in the left direction and moved. When a right side end of the ribbon is similarly detected by means of eyelet 4", a clutch 10 is now driven, and the ribbon is wound on a spool 9.
