Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the reliability of electronic unit through stable oscillation continued, by decreasing the threshold value of N channel transistor and keeping the oscillation even if the power supply voltage is lower, when the power supply voltage is lowered.
CONSTITUTION: P channel MOSFET 1 and N channel MOSFET 2 constitutes the oscillation circuit. When the power supply voltage is higher than the set level, the detection circuit 5 gives the positive output to MOSFET 4 to make equi-potential between the substrate and source of FET2 and to reduce the current consumption. Next, when the power supply voltage is less than the set voltage, negative output is given to the gate of FET4 to turn off FET 4. Accordingly, the substrate of FET2 is pulled up with the resistor 3 and the threshold value of FET2 is reduced to continue the oscillation with less power supply voltage. Thus, even if the power supply voltage is lowered, stable oscillation is kept to increase the reliability of electronic unit.
