Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve transmission efficiency with the influence of an overflow reduced, by giving transmitted data an absolute number by which all blocks can be discriminated and sent-back data a cyclic relative number by which the absolute number can be discriminated. CONSTITUTION:Data, made into blocks, are given block numbers and transmitted via a forward channel and when the error of the data is detected, a repeat request is sent back via a backward channel. At this time, forward data are given absolute number for the discrimination of all blocks and backward data are also given a cyclic relative number of a small number of bits for the discrimination of the absolute number. As a result, the assignment of the absolute number can excellently be done by the relative number cycling and bad influence caused by an overlap is reduced, so that efficiency of transmission can be improved.
