Abstract

PURPOSE: After petroleum pitch as asphalten, is dry distilled under nonoxidative atmosphere as argon, the residue is kneaded with a graphite powder to produce said molding material suitably used for vibration plates in audio system as speaker because of its high lightness and stiffness.
CONSTITUTION: A pitch as petroleum or coal tar pitch, is dry distilled by heating at 350W400°C under a nonoxidative atmosphere as argon and the residual pitch is kneaded with a graphite powder of 0.1W50 micron particle sizes at 200°C using a kneader to produce the objective molding material. The amount of the graphite powder added is preferably 40W70wt%.
EFFECT: When vibration plates are made from the material, sounds are precisely reproduced over a wide zone of frequency.
