Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the high oxidation stability of the magnetic powder by effecting the wetting treatment of the powder by organic solvent containing silicone oil and polyphosphazene and covering the powder surface with oil and phosphazene by the evaporating treatment of solvent in non-oxidizing gas.
CONSTITUTION: A small amount of polyphoshpazene as shown in the righthand formula and silicone oil, is dissolved in ethanol to adjust the solution and then magnetic metallic powder having such magnetic characteristics like particle diameter of 0.3μm, axis ratio of 7, saturated magnetizing amount of 160emu/g and coercive force of 1080oersted, is charged in abovementioned solution and then filtrated. Next, the solution is heated at 150°C in the nitrogen gas atmosphere during 6hours in such a way that ethanol is evaporated and phosphazene and oil are attached in the powder surface. By doing so, the maintemence ratio of saturated magnetizing amount and max. residual flux density even when leaving in the air, is reduced a little.
