Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture the hollow fiber excellent in the selectivity and permeability for substances, by employing the specified liquid compound possessing the hydrocarbon group as the core liquid, when the dope including the cellulose ester dissolved in acetone, etc., and by injecting this liquid from the ring type slit.
CONSTITUTION: The cellulose acetate is dissolved in the solvent mainly consisting of acetone. This dope is sent to the spinning dope feed port 24 of the hollow nozzle 10. In the meantime, the liquid componud like as ethyleneglycol monoethylether, etc., as shown by the formula, is sent as the core liquid into the capillary 22 for forming the hollow. The spinning dope holding the core liquid in its hollow being delivered from the nozzle 10 runs a specified distance in the space before being introduced into the solidifier liquid; hereby, the solvent is removed from the dope and the dope is solidified forming the semipermeable film on the outer surface. According to this method, the hollow fiber with perfect roundness and uniform film thickness can be manufactured, and also, the spinning velocity is improved.
