Abstract

PURPOSE: To save cleaning process by an organic solvent and obtain good plating by heating the wire material in air while letting the same travel to burn the surface deposits and oxidize wire material surfaces then applying electroplating.
CONSTITUTION: The wire material 3 being pulled out from a reel 2 is heated in air by a burner device 28, whereby the grease, dust, etc. depositing on its surfaces are burnt away and the surfaces are thinly oxidized. Next, it is passed through a pickling bath vessel 4, a rinsing bath vessel 5 and an alkali electrolysis bath vessel 6, whereby the oxides on the surfaces are removed and the surfaces are made in satin form. This wire material 3 is sent to a plating bath vessel 8 through a rinsing bath vessel 7, whereby it is applied with electroplating. Since the surfaces of the wire material 3 are made in satin form, the adhesiveness of plating is good and the plating of high quality is obtained. After the passage trough plating bath vessel 8, it is sent to a rinsing bath vessel 9.
