Abstract
PURPOSE:To accomplish production of a semipermeable membrane with a high water permeability excellent in the fraction property by gelling a polar organic solvent solution of cellulose diacetic acid and cellulose triacetic acid in a water or a water soluble non-solvent. CONSTITUTION:Cellulose diacetic acid with an acetylation ratio of 37 to 41% cellulose triacetic acid with an acetylation ratio of more than 43% are mixed and dissolved in a polar organic solvent with a boiling point exceeding about 120 deg.C such as dimethyl formamide, dimethyl acetoamide, dimethyl sulfoxide and triethyl phosphate. The solution thus obtained is exuded or extruded through a slit or a cap to be gelled in a water or a soluble non-solvent such as lower alcohol or mixed non-solvent thereof.
