Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase superconductive current capacity of a superconductive coil by improving the mechanical strength and cooling effect. CONSTITUTION:Superconductors 1 wound in a coil form are hardened around themselves by a resin layer 5, solidified firmly and elevated in mechanical strength. Furthermore, there is no resin between the coil windings of the superconductors 1. Liquid helium intrudes from passage holes 7 of the resin layer into the clearances 6 of the superconductors. Therefore, each superconductor 1 touches the liquid helium. Insulating material 3 is wound on each superconductor 1 so that it can have some space where cooling material can run and the clearances 6 are so large that the much liquid helium can intrude from the passage holes 7 and cool the surface of each superconductor 1. Therefore the superconductors 1 are cooled so favorably by the liquid helium that the superconductive currnet capacity is increased and coils with high magnetic field can be obtained.
