Abstract
PURPOSE: To continuously and effectively manufacture a multilayer body useful as a building material by coating a foaming agent, and foaming and solidifying the agent on a hard base board while the board is trnasfered on a convayer for obtaining a foaming body layer.
CONSTITUTION: A multilayer body manufacturing device consists of a front convayer 6 and rear convayer 7 being connected in series. A hard base board 8 such as a corrugated asbestos slate board or a plaster board is placed on the front convayer 6 by means of a clamping device 11 in such a way that the head part of a board 8 is overlapped on the tail part of the preceding board. Then a foaming agent made in a mixer 17 by mixing polyisocyanate 15 and polyole 16 is coated on the hard base board 8 while avoiding a side section 5. The overlapped section is disengaged when the preceding board is transfered to the rear convayer 7 which moves faster than the convayer 6. Then the board is foamed and solidified in a heating chamber 23 to form a hard polyurethane foam layer 3, but it is not formed on the adjoining two sides 4 and 5; thus obatining the multilayer body which is easy to handle.
