Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent large deformation of a bumper beforehand and prevent damage to a car body by arranging a stopper element which can prevent the large deformation, absorbing external load, on the back surface of the bumper part easy to form large deformation.
CONSTITUTION: A resin bumper B made of resin or rubber is fitted on the rear part of a car body C by a bumber stay 8 fitted on a pair of side members 7 which extend in the direction of rear and front of the car body C. On the resin bumper B, a stopper element 2 is installed which is integrally formed with the resin bumper B on the back surface of the central part 9 positioned between a pair of bumber stays 9, and the top end surface 3 as the surface on the car body side of this stopper element 2 is installed at the rear end of a pair of side members 7 and is brought close to the cross member 13 which forms the part 4 having higher rigidity at the rear part of the car body C.
