Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a slit-like notch part with excellent linearity by setting firmly the small tube coupling welded to the steel tube sheet pile so that its cut position can be set directly above, controlling the cut torch position by the numerical value control device, and performing a running cut. CONSTITUTION:The base tube 1 to which a small diameter steel tube 2a is welded on its side is placed on the turning roll 9 so that the cut starting point P1can be set right above. The moving amount of X and Y directions of the torch before making the tip of the cutting torch 17 match the point P1 is detected with the moving detectors 13, 16. And in this case, a worker gives a reading signal to the operation memory in the numerical value control device 19, and the position of X and Y co- ordinates from the basic position which has been optionally decided in advance to the point P1 is set in the device 19. The X and Y co-cordinates of the cutting end point P2 are also set in the device 19 in the same way, the device 19 derives a virtual straight line which connects P1 and P2 by the well-known operation, and the slit-like notch part is formed by controlling two axes (X and Y axes) automatically in accordance with the aforesaid straight line.
