Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce consumed power, by providing thermostats which detect the temperature of the outside air and that of a utilization-side heat medium.
CONSTITUTION: When a cooling/heating switch SW is set for cooling, an electromagnetic contactor 52C for a compressor and an electromagnetic contactor 52F for a blower are put under control of a contact 23W1 of a cold water control thermostat 8. When the switch SW is set for heating both the contactors 52C, 52F are put under control of a contact 23W2 of a hot water control thermostat 9. The lower the temperature of the outside air is, the higher water temperature the cold water control thermostat 8 acts at. The higher the temperature of the outside air is, the lower water temperature the hot water control thermostat 9 acts at. As a result, water of appropriate temperature is supplied to an air-conditioned load depending on the level thereof. An air/water heat pump is thus prevented from consuming unnecessary power.
