Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a proper adjustment possible to suppress an overall line distortion noise by giving a constitution where distortion generated by the non-linear distortion compensating means of a repeating installation or the repeating installation can be varied and controlling it on a basis of the measured value of a measuring means. CONSTITUTION:White noise is transmitted to all transmission band width except a specific narrow band in the transmission band from noise load testing unit transmission part 2. Mutual modulation distortion noise is generated due to this white noise in each repeating installation 3 and drops in the specific narrow band where noise is eliminated. This is detected by noise detector 7 for every repeating installation 3 and is transferred to monitor and control equipment 9. Equipment 9 uses noise detection signales from each repeating installation 3 as input to send control signals for non-linear distrotion compensating circuits belongong to terminal station unit 1 and each repeating installation 3. As a result, non-linear distortion noise is cancelled mutually, and the control is so performed that non-linear distortion noise may be minimum as the whole.
