Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the installation time of equipment by eliminating the need for the use of a measuring instrument for level calculation and soldering during the installation of facsimile equipment, by providing a circuit which compensates the transmission loss of a telephone circuit, etc., and a changeover switch. CONSTITUTION:During the operation of normal facsimile equipment, changeover switches 13 and 16 are placed at the sides of fixed contacts 13a and 16a to apply a transmitted picture signal to a modulating circuit 2 via a terminal 11, thereby sending a signal to be modulated from a circuit connection terminal 26 to a telephone circuit by way of a variable gain transmitting-amplifying circuit 15, the changeover switch 16, a hybrid transformer 21, and a circuit connection transformer 25. For the compensation of a transmission loss, the switches 13 and 16 are changed over to fixed contacts 13b and 16b. At this time, a signal for transmission level adjustment arriving at the terminal 26 is inputted to the circuit 15 via the transformers 25 and 21, and switch 13, a detecting circuit 17 detect an amplified signal for level adjustment, and a level comparing circuit 18 compares it with a preset level and makes the adjustment. Thus, the adjustment is relatively facilitated, so that the installation time is shortened.
