Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to make the power source unit of the repeater station small-size, by operating the power amplifier of the repeater station only when transmission loss becomes a prescribed value or more. CONSTITUTION:Repeater station 2 applies the signal from terminal 1 to receiving amplifier 14 through receiving filter 13 and amplifies the signal and transmits the signal to terminal station 3 from antenna 1 through switch 16, transmission filter 17, and equipment 18 used commonly for transmission and receiving. In terminal station 3, the receiving level is monitored by supervisory and control unit 21; and if the receiving level becomes lower than a minimum reference which is sufficient as the line quality, a control signal is transmitted to repeater station 2. When receiving this control signal, repeater station 2 closes power source switch 31 for power amplifier 33 by control circuit 25 and changes over switch 16 to transmit the signal from terminal station 1 after amplifying further this signal by power amplifier 33.
