Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce pressure-resistant vessels for beer, etc. with ease and at low cost by pressing Al base metal plates to vessel halves having tapered bonding parts to mutually join then subjecting the same to alumite treatment containing pore sealing thence applying adhesives between the bond parts thereby bonding the shell.
CONSTITUTION: Al base metal plates of 0.3 to 0.6mm in plate shickness are pressed to form vessel halves 1, 2, and their bonding ends are formed to tapered bond parts 3. Next, these are subjected to alumite or boemite treatment including ordinary pore sealing treatment to let oxide films 4 be formed. Next, the bond parts 3, 3 are beforehand heated to a suitable temperature and are applied with hot-melt type adhesives 5. After both vessel halves 1, 2 are bonded, the assembly is cooled. This method enables the pressure-resistant vessels of several l to more than 10l in capacity suited for cargo handling and storage to be produced, facilitates oxide film formation and enables inside surface treatment of good workability to be surely executed.
