Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the size of an induction apparatus and stabilize its operation for a long time, by placing the body of the induction apparatus and a tap switch selector under high-pressure insulating gas and placing a switch under gas of alomst atmospheric pressure.
CONSTITUTION: The induction apparaus 3 is housed in a tank 4 which is filled with the insulating gas such as SF6 at higher pressure than the atmosphere. An on-load tap switching unit 8 comprising the tap selector 7 and the switch 6, which is a vacuum valve 5, is hung by an insulating cylinder 9 wherein the switch 6 is housed. The on-load tap switching unit 8 is housed in the tank 4 together with the body of the induction apparatus. The interior of the insulating cylinder 9 is hermetically disconnected from that of the tank 4 and filled with the gas of almost atmospheric pressure. Since the wacuum valve 5 is designed to used under the atmospheric pressure and is housed in the insulating cylinder 9 of almost atmospheric pressure, the value performs stable action. Because the tap selector 17 is located under the high-pressure insulatin gas, there is a great adventage in the insulation of the tap selector.
