Abstract
PURPOSE:To form the carbon matrix diaphragm with omission of the repetitive working for the impregnation and burning in the manufacture processes by depositing the heat decomposed carbon on the carbon fiber filament of the base material and thus filling up the filament gap with the heat decomposed carbon. CONSTITUTION:The resin such as the acryl phenol polyimide rayon, PVA, vinyl chloride and the like is burnt and carbonaed in the inactive atmosphere and at about 450-1650 deg.C to obtain the carbon fiber. This carbon fiber is molded into the shape of the desired speaker diaphragm to obtain the base material, and this base material is heated up to about 1000 deg.C or higher in the organic gas such as the methane gas or the like. Then the heat decomposed carbon liberated from the organic gas is deposited on the carbon fiber filament to be used as the base material to fill up the gaps between the carbon fiber filaments. In this method, no contraction is caused in the burning process, and the accuracy control can be facilitated for the trim size. As a result, the maufacture can be facilitated for the matrix diaphragm.
