Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the flow regulating function, while reducing the pressure loss, thereby to improve the measuring accuracy by providing a flow rate or speed measuring unit in a passage through which a fluid to be measured flows.
CONSTITUTION: There is disposed in a pipe passage 1 a Karman vortex flow meter 2 acting as a fluid measuring unit. A first flow regulator 3 and a second flow regulator 4 are disposed upstream of the flow meter 2, and a third flow regulator 5 is disposed downstream thereof. Incidentally, the distance between the measuring unit and the upstream flow regulator and the distance between the measuring unit and the downstream flow regulator are arranged such that they take 0.3W1.3 D if the inside diameter of the pipe passage is indicated at D so that the flow regulating effects can be enhanced. If, moreover, the two regulators 3 and 4 and the regulator 5 are disposed upstream and downstream of the flow meter 2, respectively, the pressure loss can be reduced the more than the case in which one regulator is disposed upstream. Moreover, the high flow regulating effects can be exhibited.
