Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to measure a displacement length by a simple circuit constitution by converting pressure to be measured into air pressure and then by extracting variation in inductance in proportion to the displacement length of a fixed member by this pressure.
CONSTITUTION: Converted and inputted air pressure is extracted as an inductance variation value by the relative displacement to coil 10 held relatively by a bellows and a core connected direct to it. At a measuring-circuit side, resistance Rs is connected in series to coil 10, an input is applied to comparator circuit 16 from both the terminal of this resistance Rs, and the output of comparator circuit 16 is led into control circuit 17 to control the output of oscillator 18 which develops an alternating voltage of a fixed frequency. Then, the control alternating-current voltage is amplified by power amplifier 19, whose output is applied between terminals of coil 10 and resistance Rs via transformer 20, and measuring instrument 21 is connected between the terminals to obtain the displacement length.
