Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a flat-shaped motor by installing windings on both sides of main poles and interpoles in parallel, increasing an aspect ratio, and inserting a common core into a magnetizing coil which is formed in flat shape.
CONSTITUTION: Parallel windings 5 are installed on both sides of magnetic poles 2, and a flat-shaped one-body iron core with a large aspect ratio is inserted into the windings. A rotor 7 is formed in squirrel-cage shape with its shaft being beared so that it rotates properly in the magnetic poles 2. When a current is flown in the windings 5, fluxes are generated in the iron core 1 so that they circulate through the windings 5 to rotor 7 in-between the magnetic poles 2, thereby a rectangular flat- shaped single-phase induction motor can be constituted.
