Abstract

PURPOSE: The method of reducing the decrease in removal effect owing to contamination of surfaces of ultraviolet lamps by so separating ultraviolet radiating part as to form ozone with clean air after treatment without direct contact of the treating air with the ultraviolet lamp forming ozone.
CONSTITUTION: After the air containing corrosive gas is passed thrugh the first active carbon filter 12, the ozone formed by radiation 14 of ultraviolet rays is added and mixed and is passed through the second active carbon filter 17, whereby the corrosive gas components are ozone-oxidized and this oxide is removed by adsorption.
