Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable operations such as carrying-in, dehydrating, stopping, delivering-out, etc. of tea leaves after washing, various processed foodstuffs, etc. to be accomplished automatically in the dehydrating device for these.

CONSTITUTION: When tea leaves are dropped onto the top of a disc 15 which is rotating together with an inner barrel 8 in the upper position in said barrel and the inner barrel 8 is rotated at high speeds, then the water contents deposited on the tea leaves are kicked off to the outside surface of the inner barrel 8 through the dehydrating holes 7 of the inner barrel 8 by centrifugal force and become water drops which then flow down onto a water receiving plate 3 in the lower part, thence the water is discharged from the water discharge ports 4, 4' of the water receiving plate 3 to the outside through hoses 5, 5'. When the prime mover is stopped to stop the inner barrel 8 after leaving a suitable time, the tea leaves having lost centrifugal force and water adhering power fall downward by gravity and may be automatically delivered out of the machine from the falling port 10 in the bottom end then through a delivery chute 2.
