Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The time base variation correction circuit is constituted with the first loop consisting of the phase detector 9 to detect the time base variation component from the video disc reproducing output, first filter 11, and voltage controlled oscillator 12, and the second loop consisting of the phase detector 9, second filter 13 and stretcher 14. Further, at the start of signal reproduction, the switch circuit 26 is connected to the fixed contact d to insert the compensation circuit 24, and the gain of the variable gain circuit 25 is at minimum. After drawing-in, the gain of the variable gain circuit 25 is gradually increased, and the switch 26 is selected to the fixed contact e to reproduce the signal.
