CONSTITUTION:Sulfurizing nitriding treatment of iron base metal is carried out and the surfurizing nitriding layer a is formed on the surface and the nitriding layer b is formed under the layer a. Next, the above material is treated with acid and the surface is eroded and then, fine holes C are formed there. Treating time by acid is suitably controlled so as the holes C to be formed in the layer a. The holes C are sealed and the smooth covering layer d is obtained by carrying out metal covering treatment, such as usual electroplating etc., and forming the covering layer d of metal selected among copper, copper alloy or tin. Also, as occasion demands, covering layer of soft metal may be formed on the ground covering layer covered by copper or copper alloy in order to improve sliding characteristics moreover.
