Abstract

PURPOSE: To readily and inexpensively produce the rotary discs which are used particularly at high temperatures by beforehand peforming build-up welding of Ni- base alloy to the weld zone of the low alloy steel forging in the disc and electron- beam-welding a ring-form forging of Fe-base heat-resisting alloy to the outside circumferential part thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A ring-form forming 1 of Fe-base heat-resisting alloy is subjected to solid solution and aging treatment. On the other hand a disc-form forging 2 of low alloy steel is subjected to hardening and tempering treatment. Next, the forgings 1, 2 are rough-machined to respectively required shapes. Thereafter, with the forging 2, build-up welding of 2 to 3 mm of Ni-base alloy is performed on the part thereof to be welded to the forging 1, following to which the surface 3' of the build-up weld is machined. Next, both forgings 1, 2 are combined as illustrated and are welded and bonded 4 by electron-beam-welding. Thence, this weldment is finish-machined to a required shape in conformity with the design drawing, whereby the integral disc is produced.
