Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture the deformable alloy excellent in the tensile strength, by applying the cold working and heat treatment under the specified condition to the Fe-Ni-Co type alloy containing Be.
CONSTITUTION: This alloy is composed as follows; 28W34wt% Ni, 10W20wt% Co, amount of (2×Ni+Co) is 71W82wt%, 0.3W1wt% Be, C<0.1wt%, Si<0.5wt%, Mn<2wt%, or additionally 0.1W1wt% of either one or combination of Ti, Zr, Nb, Mo, and the balance Fe. The structure is constituted of the austenitic base including the precipitated NiBe, and has characteristics as follows; the mean thermal expansion coefficient smaller than 5×10-6/°C between the room temperature and 400°C; the internal friction smaller than 1×10-4; and the tensile strength above 85kg/cm2. This alloy is utilized as the deformable alloy appropriate for the strain measurement by the semiconductor strain gauge.
