Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a deformation-causing alloy excellent in elasticity with a low heat expansion coefficient by a heat treatment for distributing the dislocation in a cell state after it is caused when a cold working is applied on a Fe-Ni-Co affiliated invar alloy having austenite organization. CONSTITUTION:A cold working with a working rate of more than 50 percent is applied on an invar alloy comprising a ferrous alloy containing 30.5 to 34% by weight of Ni, 10 to 16% of Co to cause dislocation which is distributed in a cell state with a heat treatment at 350 to 525 deg.C. The cold working and heat treatment combines to improve the elasticity. In this manner, a deformation-causing alloy or force and displacement convertion can be produced with an internal friction of less than 1.0 (X) 10<-4> and an average heat expantion coefficient of 5.0 X 10<-6>/ deg.C between room temperature and 400 deg.C.
