CONSTITUTION: A variation of bacteria belonging to Agrobacterium genus, capable of producing coenzyme Q10, and resistant to carcinostatic agents, anti-biotics, coenzyme Q10-analogs and/or saccharides, e.g. Agrobacterium tumefaciens KY8582 (FERM-P No.4500) (resistant to daunomycin which is a carcinostatic agent and an analog of coenzyme Q10) or sensitive to oxazine dyes or thiazine dyes, e.g. Agrobacterium tumefaciens KY8586 (FERM-P No.4503) (sensitive to methylene blue, etc.), is cultured under aerobic conditions.
