Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture a rotor winding with high productivity, by punching highly electroconductive plates which have openings corresponding to the teeth of the rotor core of an induction motor having an axial gap and by stratifying the electroconductive plates as secondary conductors.
CONSTITUTION: The stator core 2 and rotor core 4 of the induction motor face each other across the axial gap. The rotor core 4 is a wound core or powder core fitted with the stratified secondary conductors 5. These conductors 5 are electroconductive plates 5A, each of which consists of an end ring part 5c and bar parts 5a located in the slots of the rotor core 4 and has openings corresponding to the teeth of the rotor core 4. For example, a copper plate of several millimeters or less is punched to manufacture the secondary conductor. A necessary number of such secondary conductor plates are stacked on the rotor core 4 so that the plates are used as the rotor winding.
