Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure an automatic adjustment of the comparator level to the optimum level by minimizing the code error detecting frequency among the reproduction PCM codes.
CONSTITUTION: The error count value memorized in memory circuit 11 is read out sequentially from reading address designation circuit 20 and supplied simultaneously to minimum count value detection circuit 18 with only the minimum value memorized. The fixed number is added to the minimum value at reference error number setting circuit 14 to obtain the reference error number. Then a comparison is given between the reference error number and the error count value read out from circuit 11 in the order of memorization through comparator 20, and the fall and rise points of the comparison output are led out via differentiating circuit 21. At the same time, maximum and minimum level setting circuits 23 and 24, which convert the output of counter circuit 22 counting the detecting frequency of the error count value, are held at the fall and rise pulses each. Then the both holding output are applied to arithmetic mean calculation circuit 25, and the output is defined as the optimum comparator level. As a result, an automatic adjustment is secured to the optimum comparator level.
