Considering the product of multiplying the exciting current 7 of the exciting coupling device 9 by the rotation number 6 to be the axial output of the pump 3 and also the lift head to be constant, the return 6a of the rotation number and the return 7a of exciting current are calculated by using the speed set value 4 as the set value of axial output by the arithmetic unit 10, and the result is used as the return value 10a of axial output to control the axial output.
