Abstract

In accordance with the vehicle load signals of a load responding device 17, on the other hand, a load- wheel diameter pattern memory 18 is read out and is digitally converted by an A/D converter 19. Moreover, the compensation signals are generated through a wheel diameter compensating switch 4 due to the friction so that those signals are added by the adder 31 of a wheel diameter compensating circuit 3. If the wheel diameter compensation coefficient from the adder 31 is applied to the multiplier 32 of the circuit 3 to compensate the speed signals generated by the speed detector 2, the speed can be highly accurately detected even for a vehicle which has its wheel diameter varied by the elastic deformation of the rubber tire wheel due to the load and speed.
