Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately detect that the current of control valves of a single-phase bridge inverter is proper, by using an alternating current transformer.
CONSTITUTION: The alternating current transformer 5 is provided to detect the current of the control valves 1∼4 of the single-phase bridge inverter. The primary winding of the current transformer is connected to the control valves so that the energization of the transformer by the current of the control valves which are turned on when a load current flows in one direction is performed in the opposite direction to that of the transformer by the current of the control valves which are turned on when the load current flows in the other direction. The control valves 2, 4 are connected to the current transformer 5 to energize it in the opposite directions. When a current is caused to flow through the valves 2, 4 alternately, an alternating current flows through the primary winding of the current transformer. When the average value of positive and negative levels of the alternating current is zero, the current transformer is energized in not only one direction. From this fact, it can be detected that the current of the valves 2, 4 is not abnormal.
