Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve sealingness and strength of a double intake system, by soldering a partition member having the same melting point as the cylinder head to a portion of cylinder head by use of a soldering material having a melting point higher than the temperature a fuel gas blown back from the combustin chamber but lower than the melting point of said partition member.
CONSTITUTION: Air intake passage is divided into a low-load section 16 and a high- load section 17 by means of partition wall 10 and partition member 11 made of material having the same melting point as cylinder head. These two sections 16, 17 of the intake passage are both communicated to the combustion chamber 6 when suction valve 4 is opened. Partition member 11 is soldered to cylinder head 3 at portion 12 by use of a soldering material having a melting point lower than the melting point of partition member 11 but higher than the temperature of fuel gas blown back from the combustion chamber.
