Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a polybutadiene rubber composition having improved break resistance and reinforceability, by crystallizing polybutadiene in the form of short fibers in a copolymer of cis-1,4-polybutadiene and syn-1,2-polybutadiene. CONSTITUTION:A composition composed mainly of a polybutadiene rubber (which may be blended with other diene rubbers) composed of a polymer obtained by the block or graft copolymerization of cis-1,4-polybutadiene with syn-1,2-polybutadiene, wherein 78-93wt% of the microstructure is cis-1,4-structure, and 6-20wt% is syn-1,2-structure, and >=40wt% of the syn-1,2-polybutadiene is crystallized to short fibers having an average diameter of 0.05-1mu and an average length of 0.8- 10mu. The composition may contain an inorganic filler, if necessary.
