Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the structure thus enabling a massproduction as well as providing low cost by replacing a resistor with a Zener diode to give both functions as a heat emitting element and a preventive diode for heat escape. CONSTITUTION:A thermo-resisting bracing layer 1b such as glass is provided at the end surface of a heat resisting insulation substrate 1a such as glass or epoxy resin. A Zener diode ZD is fixed after both its electrodes are connected in such a way that they bridge two conductive layers 1c and 1d over the bracing layer 1b and the both sides of the substrate 1a. Then a protective layer 1e made of tantalum oxide is coated. A voltage that is higher than the Zener voltage is applied between the both layer 1c and 1d to heat the Zener diode ZD, thus foaming a section of a heat sensitive recording paper 2 where the diode is in contact with. As a result, recording is done. USE:A heat sensitive recording device for a facsimile, printer, data recorder, and others.
