Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the testing accuracy, while keeping the conditions constant, by controlling the supply air pressure of an air spring in accordance with a load so that the standard side of a vibration head is held at a preset level.
CONSTITUTION: An air spring 13, which is interposed between the lower side of a vibrating bed 2 and a base plate, receives the compressed air from a pressurizing tank 15 at a sealed bag made of an elastic material such as rubber thereby to support the bed 2. Air pressure control means 18 operates in accordance with the load, which is acted thereon under the condition having a vehicle riding upon the bed 2, so that the air pressure of the spring 13 is increased and decreased to hold the bed standard side at a preset value. Under this condition, therefore, the load to be acted upon a motor through a support arm 4 can always be made constant while reducing the initial load to zero. At the end of this leveling operation, incidentally, a shut-off valve 24 is closed to hold the air pressure of the spring 13 constant. Thus, the testing accuracy can be enhanced, and the load upon the motor can be reduced.
