Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to print with a different color from a color of ink fed to an ink roller by constituting an ink ribbon with a notched portion and an ink layer portion and printing with the ribbon being shifted.
CONSTITUTION: When a notched portion 41 of a ribbon 22 is arranged between a type wheel 21 and a printing paper 27, ink adherred to the type wheel 21 is transferred onto the printing paper 27 upon printing. When printing with red ink is desired, the ink ribbon 22 and an ink feeding roller 23 are dampened with red ink and printing is effected after the ink ribbon has shifted to a location between the type wheel 22 and the printing paper 27 by a ribbon feeding roller 28, thereby, ink on the ink ribbon 22 is pushed out by a platen 25, and thus, a printing with red color may be effected on the printing paper 27.
