Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the entry of scum floating on foul water surface and obviate impairment of aeration efficiency by disposing both end parts of a U-form flow transfer pipe forming an air lift pump in the aerating vessel and separating vessel respectively and enclosing the end part in the separating vessel with a tubular body protruding above the foul water surface.
CONSTITUTION: A separating vessel 1 and an aerating vessel 2 are installed parallel. The effluent port 9 of a U-form flow transfer pipe 4 forming an air lift pump 3 is opened into the aerating vessel 2 and its influent port 5 into the separating vessel 1. Here, the influent port 5 is enclosed by a tubular body 6 protruding and erecting above the foul water surface. the foul water from inlet pipe 11 is separated of scum in the separating vessel 1, after which it passes through the flow transfer pipe 4 and is sent into the aerating vessel 2, but the scum is floating on the outsids of the tubular body 6 and even if the foul water level lowers along with the flow transfer of the foul water, the entry of the scum into the influent port 5 is prevented.
