Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the utilization of active material, binding capacity and the cycle life characteristic by containing boron in the adhesives for adhering between active sheet material and metal core. CONSTITUTION:Active material such as nickel-hydroxide is mixed with dispersion liquid then made thin to produce acrive sheet material 12 having predetermined strength and flexibility. Said active material 12 is adhered through adhesives 13 onto both faces of nickel porous board 11 composed of metallic core (electron collector) soldered with nickel foil or conductive terminal 14 to obtain an integrated anode board 1. Said adhesives 13 is obtained by dispersing 15g of carbon or conductive agent into 100g of 10 wt % polyvinyl alcohl solution containing 1.2 wt % of boron, for example. Since the adhesives is bridged by boron to increase the adhesion, the tightness between the sheet 12 and the metallic core 11 or between the sheets 12 is improved resulting in the improvement of the utilization of active material and the cycle life characteristic.
