Abstract

PURPOSE: The electric brake of a generator is not actuated under the unbalanced condition by providing limit switches for individual phases so that the limit switches are operated in consonance with disconnecting switches of the elctric brakes and by interlocking the action of the brake circuits.
CONSTITUTION: A disconnecting switch 3-1 has ON contacts 3a to 3c for interlocking individual phases, and the disconnecting switch is closed when the contacts are closed. A negativephase-detecting relay 9 which detects the current of an armature 1a is connected through a converter 10. A circuit breaker 4 is provided with a closing coil 4a and a trip coil 4b. The closing coil 4a is actuated by an in-house power supply which is connected to a line 11a when normally closed NC contacts 9a and 12a are connected and logical conditions are satisfied. The trip coil 4b is actuated by the in-house power supply when NC contacts 13b and 14b are connected and logical conditions are satisfied. In this constitution is obtained a brake circuit wherein the electric brake of a generator is not actuated under unbalnced conditions.
