Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the display-screen-partition control system of a display unit with flexibility given to partition and modification of a transition pattern while the dispaly on the virtual screen of a display screen is made dynamic, by providing several memory units.
CONSTITUTION: In step S1, the kinds of a split screen and virtual screen to be displayed are assigned and then stored in internal memory units 1 and 2. In step S2, the content of memory 1 is compared with that of display split screen memory 3 and when the both are equal, only display data are displayed in the virtual screen region with no changes in contents of memory units 1 to 3. When the both are different, step S3 decides, on the basis of the content of split-screen-state transition line memory 4, whether a requested split screen allows the transition or not. When the screen enables the transistion, the content of memory 1 is stored in memory 3 and when not, the content of memory 2 is compared with that of split-position memory 6, so that when the both agree each other, display will be performed within the range of a present virtual screen. In S4 and S5, a display range position on display screen 7 is stored in memory 6 on the basis of the kind of the display split screen stored in memory 3 and in step S6, data are displayed on the virtual screen.
